I searched in several locations for a place to stay, and this one caught my eye because it had many good reviews, and the pictures of the place looked good, so I decided to book two rooms. I am very happy that I chose this place. The owners are very friendly. I liked the rooms. They are very well kept and in very good shape. They keep some snacks, water bottles and sodas to buy in a little corner of the hallway, just down from the rooms. It was quiet. There are some good places to eat within walking distance. I would love to stay there again one day.

The place was clean and nice with some nice extras (coffee and pastries in the morning). We were able to enjoy a jam session in the evening. My friend and I are thinking this may become a yearly adventure! Loved the town also.

Very comfortable and clean. The various decks, patios and yard were a great refuge above the quaint town. There are quite a few steps though, if that's problematic for you.

Everything was extremely clean and peaceful. I love the self check-in! The check-in app is simple to use. You truly get the feeling you are at your own cabin/home! The owners take pride in their business and truly care about their customers. In fact, I'm doing this review just before we leave, and now we're thinking about staying another day!! A must stay for relaxation.

Adorable and very comfortable room with a porch right outside our room. Checking in and out is easy. Parking is limited. Bicycling is the theme of the town , so many trails. Eating after 4pm is very limited as to what is open.

Had a delightful stay at the Root River Inn. We stayed in the Harmony Room, which was perfect in every way. The room was quiet, very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. We loved sitting on the Adirondack chairs on our balcony and also in the yard. The coffee and pastry from the Lanesboro Pastry Shoppe were amazing The owners are interesting to talk to and are accommodating in every way. Ryan had excellent recommendations as far as meals, trails, and other sights that we enjoyed. We would stay here again and will recommend to friends and family.

Root River Inn and Suites is a wonderful place to stay in Lanesboro! The owners are super nice and accommodating. The rooms are comfortable and very clean and the grounds are beautiful. It is also right on Main Street and walking distance to cute little shops and restaurants. We’ve been coming here for years and it is a great place to rest and relax after long bike rides on the surrounding beautifully paved bike trails! Love our stays here. Thank you!

My wife and I had a relaxing two night stay at this historic Inn. The rooms were spotless and decorated professionally. Everything we could possibly need just steps away, gourmet coffee, fresh pastries and ice cold water perfect for filling our water bottles. If you can’t find better hosts than Allie & Ryan and if you do let me know. Their hospitality skills and knowledge of Lanesboro are priceless. It was the best experience we have had in years. Our stay at the Root River Inn was, in a word, fabulous! The accommodations are comfortable, clean, quaint, and fun! The location is virtually right next to the Root River Bike Trail, and right across the street from a really nice upscale casual restaurant. The fresh, warm bakery rolls from the local bakery that were provided every morning were a real treat! I think we'll go back, if for no other reason than to sit and have coffee with the owners again. They are a fun family and are really dedicated to creating a memorable experience for their gusts. I repeat...fabulous!
