Root river Inn was such a great experience. Great location and they have it set up so well. The self check in and check out was very easy, and we had everything we needed without needing an office. They have snacks, drinks, firewood, etc available to purchase. Nice sitting area outside to hang out. Locked bike room was a nice bonus too. Our room was clean and well done. Free coffee card to their coffee shop in the morning was a nice perk too. Would recommend Root River Inn to anyone visiting Lanesboro.

We loved our stay at the Root River Inn! It's in a prime location in the center of historic Lanesboro and steps from the Root River bike trail. Our suite was very spacious and attractively decorated. The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on our private balcony that overlooks the main street (Parkway Avenue). We highly recommend staying here. We'll be back!

This place is a gem. We will definitely return. It has nice outdoor spaces such as tables on different levels going up the hill which the site occupies. Nice relaxing outdoor chairs on a terrace on the hill to sit and relax and to watch the street and activities. A fire pit and marshmallows. All day coffee available. The grounds are well maintained there are beautiful flowers growing everywhere.

The grounds are so beautiful! The view on the decks relaxing and amazing. Lansboro suite so nice and very quiet guests). My daughter had the apartment above the coffee shop, it was perfect for them with a child. Having a gift card to the coffee shop was a treat! We both agreed the only downfall was parking. For us coming back late we had to park on the street. Lots of stairs at 10pm. And daughter had to park a distance (other side of highway) it was a fun and unique place to stay.

This is a charming inn! It's very clean and quiet. Our stay could not have been better. We loved it! The atmosphere is very relaxing. It was so nice to meet the owners and get to know them and learn some history of the inn and Lanesboro. We will definitely be going back again.

What a fabulous weekend getaway! Our loft above the coffee shop was amazing! Elevated suite that had so much room and was very tastefully updated! The bathroom was huge, the beds offered in the space were genius and the decor upscale but comfy. Location was perfect. We can't wait to come back and we will book this suite for sure! The coffee shop below the loft was the perfect spot for breakfast.

We loved our stay at the Root River Inn and can’t wait to come back next year! This place was clean and perfect for our family. Super close to shopping and food. The only downside about the room is the plumbing for upstairs is exposed and it woke me up when the toilet was flushed upstairs with a big whooshing sound but with the age of the building we understand this can’t be avoided. It wouldn’t stop us from coming again. Thanks for having us!

Beautiful old hotel terraced into a hill, nicely landscaped, with outdoor sitting areas and even a fire pit. Rooms are comfortable and immaculate. Thoughtful commons room with coffee, teas, and hot chocolate available around the clock. Located in historic Lanesboro right on the Root River Trail. Ryan was very helpful. They even have locking bike storage and easy keypad access. We had a great stay and will return.

The Root River Inn and Suites was absolutely gorgeous. The grounds are beautifully landscaped lush gardens and cozy seating areas. Our room was small, but well thought out with modern, comfortable touches. There is a secure room to keep bikes and nice little lounge with coffee and games.
