Our room was clean and fit our requirements. We rented one of the rooms that had two beds so that two friends could spread out and sleep well. The weather was not as cooperative as we would have liked, but on the second day we sat outside and looked at the gardens from the balcony outside our room. Ryan and Ali were very accommodating and inviting. We enjoyed comfortable beds that night and coffee and wonderful pastries in the morning. For a very short trip, we very much enjoyed ourselves.

Comfortable rooms and the owners were wonderful hosts. Great location for enjoying a fall outing with friends Bike trail across the street. The owners had great dinner recommendations just a walk down the street.

I knew it was going to be a stellar stay based upon the landscaping and the flowers. The room was comfortable, accessible, and a perfect location for access to the bike trail. They've thought of everything; secure indoor bike storage, tools, a pump and a great hill to get the Adrenaline pumping. We're coming back and bringing our friends!

Great place to stay! Perfect balance between private short term rental with kitchenette/outdoor grill and B&B with pastries and coffee by the fire pit in the morning. Ryan's recommendations were spot on. We loved biking and kayaking along the Root River. Plan to stay here again when returning to Lanesboro.

The grounds, building, and room (we stayed in Whalen) were clean and well cared for. The bed was decently comfortable. The inn is directly across the street from the root river trail access. We enjoyed our stay and will look for open rooms in the Root River Inn the next time we visit!

The Root River Inn was a wonderful place to stay, right on Lanesboro's main street. Ryan couldn't have been nicer. The bike storage room was convenient. Our room was clean and comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed having a private deck and the Inn gardens were lovely. We definitely plan to stay here again on our next trip to Lanesboro. A note to visitors: We were here Sun-Wed and many restaurants were closed those days.

A couple weeks behind in posting this, yet not too late! Jeff and I had the most delightful weekend at the Root River Inn and Suites in the quaint town of Lanesboro. The atmosphere was SO beautiful and relaxing! Of course, our Host and Hostess, Ryan Palmer and Allie Palmer were wonderful and we were blessed to spend much time with them and dear Nadia Palmer !😊 You must plan a visit there!! It is perfect for an anniversary getaway or a retreat with friends, etc.! We will be back!!🥰😊

We had such a great experience at Root River Inn and Suites! Ryan, the new owner, was so personable and helpful and we felt like he was part of the family by the time we left. He had a great suggestion for dinner and invited us to "open mic" night to watch him sing. The inn is clean and welcoming and very comfortable. The pasties from the local pastry shop were a great touch. We can't wait to go back! We just returned to root River Inn and Suites for our 3rd time. It is our go to place to stay whenever we are in Lanesboro. Once again, it did not disappoint us. We stayed in a suite which was very convenient to have a place for our friends to gather after biking. It was fun to see all the upgrades in the rooms since we were there last. They really have done a nice job and have continued to put customers first! Having the locked bike room is so nice! Once again Ryan, the owner greeted us and made us feel so welcome. We already have our fall trip planned and will stay at this Inn for sure. September 2024 Back again for our yearly bike trip. This time we brought some new friends with us to the Inn and they were so impressed! All of the nice touches and beautiful woodworking and furniture courtesy of our host, Allie were so impressive. We loved going to their coffee shop, Paddle On, and once again we enjoyed renting the suites so we could use the upper level deck for our group. Looking out at the beautiful view of the grounds was wonderful. We also appreciated the invitation from our hosts to join them for S’mores. Every time we come we hear about more improvements they have made to the inn to make their guests have the best experience possible! We highly recommend Root River Inn and Suites.

We stayed here this week and loved this Inn! Freshly remodeled, several sitting areas, flowers galore, right on the bike path. Overlooking the Root river for floating, fishing, or just sitting and listening to the amazing waterfall up the block. Now that the sign is up, this is the real deal :>) Book your peace and tranquility stay in this beautiful Valley town, Lanesboro. Oh, the owners are amazing too!!!

This was our first time staying in Lanesboro and we are so happy we chose the Root River Inn. The grounds are very nicely landscaped and there are plenty of patio tables and chairs for all guests. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed having coffee and pastries on the patio each morning. The Inn is located right on the biking trail and you can walk to all the shops and restaurants in town.

Any trip to the wonderful area of the country should include a stay at the Root River Inn. The accommodations were spotless and beautifully appointed. The grounds are relaxing and pleasing. The variety of rooms offered can board all from a single traveler to a large family. I cannot say enough about the Palmer family who own and operate the Inn. Their attention to every detail, knowledge of the area and engaging personalities made the trip an absolute joy. If there were a rating higher than 5 stars I would give it.
