Perfect location and great character to the house with lovely landscaping. Stayed one night in the Whalen room which was a cozy little space. Everything was very clean and updated although the carpet could use a refresh. Coffee room was cute.

Response from Root River Inn & Suites We're glad you enjoyed your stay. The Whalan room is named after the smallest town on the trail, with a population of 65. Perfect if you need a place to land between outdoor activities. We do plan to replace the carpet, but we've prioritized painting, redecorating, and updating bathrooms. We'll get there, maybe this winter.
